Just before 2012 started we moved into our wonderful "basement" apartment, which meant we would be attending a new/old ward (the ward that Sean grew up in). We kicked off January with new callings. I was called to Young Women's as the personal progress leader (LOVE IT!), and Sean was called as a ward missionary. Here are some pics from YW.
This past year I tried to be better about crafting. Figured I better start making some fun things to decorate our future home while we have a tiny bit of extra money. Here are a couple of 2012 Valentine's crafts that I did!
The wreath decoration didn't last too long... One Sunday dinner I went downstairs to see what the nieces and nephews were doing, and found a couple of the younger kids snacking on my wreath!
We spent a lot of time with our sweet nephew Chase. Sean and Chase are best "homies." It's fun to see him grow up, and we are excited to meet his baby sister that is due in May :)
One of my biggest accomplishments for 2012 was that I ran my first Half Marathon! My sweet sister, Laura, agreed to run it with me- thank goodness she did or I don't think I would have been able to finish!
2012 also meant my baby sister turning 16 :( Here is Rach before her first dance.
I hate that my siblings are growing up so fast :( Little Al also graduated from Pre-school AND started Kindergarten last year. This is Alex at his Pre-school program.
My awesome big bro is still attending law school at Creighton University. He came home a few times throughout the year- bringing only half my brother back! Ron last at least 75 lbs. and looks fantastic!
Summer 2012 was a lot of fun! We of course went to Lake Powell with Sean's family in June, and had an awesome time. Summer also brought Bee's Games, snow cones, outdoor projects, 7 peaks (the pass of all passes), Sean's first rodeo, the fair, and some fun summer dates!
For our Anniversary, Sean and I flew to California and went to a Dodger's game! It was so much fun. We also went to the beach, and The Alley. Sean also took me on a drive through the different cities in his mission.
I also worked a couple of different part time jobs, in addition to my job at the dental office. Tagge's was a fruit stand- which I absolutely loved! I got to eat fresh peaches and berries while I worked. Yum!
I am already looking forward to next summer when I can eat more peaches!
Over Labor Day weekend we headed to Southern Utah with my family to see Aladdin at Tuacchan (s/c) and Les Mis at the Shakespearean festival.
Fall 2012 was really fun. We were able to go to a few Utah games with my dad. It also birthday season in our family. Sean got me a treadmill for my birthday- wahoo! I made my first attempt at decorating a cake for Alex's birthday, AND...... we started hanging out with Laura's now fiancé, Corbin! We love him and are very excited for the June 2013 wedding!
The end of football season brought the beginning of NBA season. Thanks to Dr. Winegar, I was able to attend my first Jazz game lower bowl!
December was a fun and busy month for us! We had a lot of fun with friends and family at Christmas Parties. We especially loved that Brian and Kristi's whole family was able to come up for a long weekend in December. But the very best part of December was our trip to Oakland!
All the brother's (and Scott) in Sean's family decided to surprise their son's and take them to the Broncos/Raiders game in Oakland. Vicki and I lucked out and got to tag along with our husbands. It was one of my favorite trips. We stayed in San Francisco, which is now one of my very favorite cities.
2012 kept us busy and we can't wait for all the fun things in store for 2013!
